Lexar launched an SD 8.0 card with incredible read/ write speeds rivaling larger CFexpress 4.0 cards for cameras, but the company’s hope for full backward compatibility is on hold as no devices can take advantage of these speeds, resulting in a performance downgrade to the UHS-I standard.
